After growing up in a little town in southwest Germany, I studied German Literature and Sport at the FU in Berlin. Later I moved to Gomera, Canary Islands, where I learned to become a ShiatsuMassage Therapist with Ralf Krueger, whom I assisted later in his Trainingcourses. My spirituel teacher, Isaac Shapiro opend the world as a Nondualistic place for me, which touched and inspired me so much that I travelled with him for 2 and a half years. In the same time I practiced Reiki and got initiated by Gaia (Michael Zipf) to a Reiki-Master. To live what I have learned in these years I settled down in France where I ran with friends a workshop-guesthouse called "Milonga". There I explored gardening, cooking, serving, working without pressure but with fun and intimate connections.
2001 I met my later husband, Marcus Dijkstra and my first Alexanderteacher, Merran Poplar. Half a year after my first lesson with her I started the AT-Trainingcourse (ATON) with ArieJan Hoorweg, who trained with Walter Carrington in London. 2003 our daughter Sophia was born.
With the Alexander Technique I found a way to teach others how to discover that being responsible for oneself can be fun, very healing, and rewarding on many levels of this amazing individual human system.
Since 2006 I work as an Alexanderteacher in my own practice and on occasion at school, ATON. I give lessons to musicians (singers and instrumentalists, I am still looking for a conductor), dancers, lawyers, painters, housewives, people with and without back pain, recovering from injuries, having tension induced headaches, as well as people who are just curious, shy, or looking into maximizing their daily life. I work a lot with tango dancers, and thoroughly enjoy applying the principles of the technique on my own dancing as well.
