Alexander Technique

With the Alexander Technique we learn to bring about change in the way we use ourselves. It is an internationally well known educational technique, that brings ease and efficiency of movement, enhanced balance and coordination, as well as an improved awareness of being and thinking. The way in which we use ourselves directly affects how we function, perform, how we are.

The Alexander Technique gives us tools to respond appropriately to the stimulus of any movement or activity in daily life, whatever the stimulus, whatever the situation. Instead of mindlessly responding in accordance with the habits that took a lifetime to acquire, one learns to choose responses more in harmony with the situation and our natural human design. Like when you were little.

As you learn to prevent the habits that interfere with your postural reflexes, you will be able to find freedom, ease and confidence in you and all your movements, whether it be walking (even in high heels), sitting (it is the end of slumping down), breathing, speaking, dancing, or playing a musical instrument.
